Responsibility Is a Core Value for Us
We believe that every company should conduct its business responsibly and give something back to the environment in which it operates. At KMC-Services, we put this philosophy into practice by caring for the natural environment, the local community, our employees, and the business environment — based on four core pillars of our CSR program.
Our CSR Program Is Based on 4 Pillars:
Pro-ecological activities
Care for the environment by reducing CO2 emissions, recycling waste and educating employees.
Pro-social activities
Activity in initiatives that support people and animals.
Pro-employee activities
Care for working conditions and development of specialists.
Pro-business activities
Support for local businesses, including small businesses, through preferences in purchasing their goods and services.

Pro-ecological activities
Caring for the environment is a consistent commitment for us, not just a series of one-off actions. We express this commitment through, among other things:
- energy-efficient LED lighting in our warehouses, which reduces our CO2 emissions into the atmosphere by 38.5 tons per month,
- a vehicle fleet selected for low CO2 emissions, compliant with the Euro 5 and Euro 6 standards,
- management of returnable packaging, extending its useful life before it is sent for recycling,
- a consistent recycling program carried out at all of the company’s branches,
- employee education on environmental protection, including Eco Driving training for drivers,
- digitalization of documentation, reducing paper consumption,
- participation in environmental initiatives — in 2017, as the exclusive logistics partner of the “Stop Kulturze Marnotrawienia” (“Stop the Culture of Waste”) campaign, we delivered recycled books to 314 district libraries across Poland and collected over 4 tons of waste paper; in 2018, we sponsored the Dog Run race, supporting the Kraków Society for the Protection of Animals and the La Fauna Foundation.

Support for Animals and the Local Community
We fulfill our social responsibility primarily through financial and organizational support for foundations and associations working for the benefit of people and animals. Among others, we support
- the VIVA! Foundation,
- The Centaurus Foundation
- and the Przystań Ocalenie Foundation.
In 2017, as we expanded this area of our activity, we registered our own foundation — La Fauna Fundacja Dla Zwierząt (La Fauna Animal Foundation) — whose mission is to help animals living in poor conditions or mistreated by their owners.

Pro-employee activities
At KMC-Services, we believe that people are the strength of every organization, which is why many members of our team have been with us for years. We take care of good working conditions by offering, among other things:
• operating in accordance with our Code of Good Practice and IWAY standards
• the “Jemy Polskie Owoce” (“We Eat Polish Fruit”) program — providing employees with fresh fruit from Polish orchards every day,”
• internships for students, giving them the opportunity to gain their first professional experience,
• training to improve professional qualifications, private medical care for employees and their families, free English language courses, and periodic flu vaccinations,
• Christmas gift packages for employees’ children,
• an internal e-newsletter, “Nasza Paleta” (“Our Pallet”), keeping employees up to date on company events,
• an Employee Suggestion System, where the most interesting submissions are rewarded,
• building a culture of quality and open internal communication, as well as raising awareness of occupational health and safety.

Pro-business activities
We believe in helping one another in business — especially among neighboring companies — which is why, whenever possible, we make purchases from local businesses. We also offer quality support to small businesses, for example by developing HACCP documentation for carriers, sharing best practices, or assisting with inspections. We carefully analyze customer complaints and feedback in order to continuously raise the standards of our services, and we help our trusted suppliers and business partners avoid poor decisions by providing recommendations.
We are also actively involved in influential business organizations — Katarzyna Chabinka, President of KMC-Services, sits on the board of the British Polish Chamber of Commerce and the Polish Association of Logistics Managers. We also act as a sponsor and logistics partner for events promoting local business, including outside Poland.
